St. George's Day
Fri 25 Apr 2025It was lovely to see so many children in their Brownie, Squirrel, Cubs etc uniforms as we celebrated St. George’s Day. The children learnt about the story of St. George and how his bravery slayed the dragon. We spoke about the message of how we can be brave by not following the crowd when we know that something is wrong or by doing things that make the world a better place. Even if our deeds are not seen, we can know in our hearts that it was the right thing to do. In the story, the children heard how George helped even though he didn’t know who he was helping; he didn’t say, “Why should I?” The children thought about maybe next time something needs doing, the children could say “Why shouldn’t I?” rather than “Why should I?”

Leeds House
Fri 25 Apr 2025At the end of last term, Leeds House had accumulated the most house points over the term. The Harcourt Trophy was awarded to the Leeds House Captains, who received the trophy on behalf of their whole team.

WLP Spring Showcase
Fri 04 Apr 2025On Tuesday evening we enjoyed the Windsor Learning Partnership Spring Concert at TWGS. This was a wonderful collection of music from all children across the partnership. Our children sang in the WLP choir as well as performing 3 songs they had learnt with Mrs Laver. The children were impeccably behaved, sang beautifully and were brilliant ambassadors for our school. We were immensely proud of them.

Baptism
Fri 04 Apr 2025Some of our children from Bible Worshippers were baptised. It was a lovely service where the children were baptised by Reverend Rosie using water from the River Jordan which she had collected on her recent pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The children’s baptism service will continue with their families at St. Andrew’s church during the Easter holiday.

Saxon Class assembly
Fri 04 Apr 2025On Tuesday we welcomed Saxon parents into school for Saxon Class assembly. The children shared all that they had learned about their bodies and how it is important to be kind to each other.

Wild Worship
Fri 28 Mar 2025This week Reverend Rosie invited some visitors from other schools to see one of our Wild Worship sessions in action. The children have been learning about Lent and spent some time reading from the bible. They thought about the temptations of Christ which we have been looking at in our Value assembly and how people observe Lent to bring them closer to God. The children were given some fresh clay to capture evidence of Spring and new life then they made some nature mandalas. The children enjoyed time to be still and calm, taking time to enjoy fresh air and sunshine. These sessions are valuable times of reflection for our children, and they certainly did capture some of the beauty in God's creation!

Victorian Day
Fri 28 Mar 2025To conclude their history topic, on Monday Year 1 had a fantastic Victorian Day in school. They dressed up as Victorian children, acted out a Victorian school lesson, explored toys from the past, and dug for historical artifacts.

Year 3 The Three Trees
Fri 28 Mar 2025Year 3 retold the Easter story through the fabulous Three Trees play. The children’s singing, dancing and acting were all amazing and the audience enjoyed listening to the story. This is a highlight for Year 3 and the children’s hard work and enthusiasm was clear for all to see.

Celebrating Iranian New Year
Fri 21 Mar 2025Mahkame in Norman Class shared with her classmates the traditions of Iranian New Year, which began yesterday, and how it is celebrated with special foods. Many thanks to her family who also came in, and to Mahkame, who spoke so eloquently and proudly of her family customs.
