Welcome To Year 4!

Thank you to all those of you who were able to attend the Parents' Information session.

General Information covered:

• Middle Schools - Please do attend the open evenings and do take your child along to see the schools in action on their open days. These can be really helpful in giving you the confidence to choose your child's next step on their educational journey.
• Homework - This will be set on on Thursdays and due for the following Thursday. Please read daily with your child and keep up regular times tables practice.
• Year 4 Multiplication Check - This times tables test occurs in June and requires the children to have instant recall of all the times tables up to 12x12. The Mathsframe site is a really useful tool in preparing for this test and you can start by adjusting the difficulty to allow your child more time to answer or to focus on fewer times tables. • Our Year 4 residential occurs during the first week of May. There is a meeting in October and we strongly recommend children and parents to attend together. You can look at the Lodge Hill website: https://lodgehill.org.uk/
• Curriculum - Please check out our Knowledge Organisers. These documents outline all that we are covering and the associated vocabulary that the children will learn. They can be found on our curriculum page.
