Woolley Firs Trip Tudors - June 2024
What a wonderful day Year 3 had at Woolley Firs Environmental Education Centre! Based at a 300 year-old farm and nature reserve, our day was planned to support our Plants topic in Science. We used guides to classify and name trees, felt their trunks (blindfolded), examined seeds and their dispersal, created a perfumed paper and made a pot and sowed seeds. Finally we dressed up as bees and flowers and recreated pollination, with bees dashing from flower to flower and collecting as much pollen as they could - take a look at the video. What a fantastic place!
