  • Year 4 Residential

    Fri 01 May 2026

Our Year 4 children went on their residential trip to Lodge Hill in Pulborough. The weather was glorious, and we had a great time. We took part in archery, fencing, wall climbing, low ropes, orienteering, team building, circus skills and sno-tubing. We went on a night hike and the children had 3 days of fun and exploring.  A huge thank you to the team that went who ensured the children were looked after and had a great time, and to Mrs Hawkes for organising such a wonderful experience for the children.

As part of their topic on Africa, Norman Class were treated to an amazing presentation about Ghana by Tilly and her mum. They shared their facts about the country, taught a song and dance and shared the secrets of Kente cloth design! A really inspirational afternoon. A huge thank you to Tilly’s mum.

  • Norman Class Assembly

    Fri 27 Mar 2026

We had the pleasure of watching Norman Class assembly on Wednesday. The children had clearly learnt a lot about significant people and they shared all that they knew about Florence Nightingale, Neil Armstrong and Claude Monet through songs, art work and sharing a great range of facts. Thank you to Mrs Redvers and Normans for such a lovely start to the day!

  • The Three Trees

    Sun 22 Mar 2026

Year 3s production of the Three Trees retold the Easter story with lots of singing and amazing acting. The songs are always popular, and the audience were treated to solos by choir members as well as the three trees. The children worked incredibly hard this term, and thanks must also go to the support of parents with this as well as costumes.

  • Woolley Firs Trip

    Sun 22 Mar 2026

The children in Reception had a wonderful time at Woolley Firs on Wednesday. We explored the woodland where the children went on a minibeast hunt. The children then categorised them by how many legs they have. We were very lucky to be able to handle beetle larvae and looked at their lifecycle! The fun didn't stop; we then participated in farm bingo looking at our surroundings followed by some pond dipping!

  • Wild Worship

    Fri 13 Mar 2026

Vikings had a Crazy Hair Wild Worship this week! The children continued the good work that previous classes have started, preparing the ground for planting and looking out for grubs and worms. The children learnt how to use the rake and the trowel to sort the weeds. Those that preferred could search for the colours of spring or paint a stone to add to the pile we are accumulating, with designs reflecting the creatures we see at springtime. Reverend Rosie spoke to the children about new life, linking the Hungry Caterpillar's search for food with Nicodemus' search for knowledge. The children considered how the birth of a baby or the change of a caterpillar to a butterfly are all examples of new starts.

  • Year 3 Trip

    Fri 13 Mar 2026

Year 3 had a fun filled day at Woolley Firs. They spent a lovely day outside identifying trees, finding out about seed dispersal, planting their own pea seeds to grow at home, and running around as bees collecting pollen from flowers. A typical comment from the children ‘this is so much fun. I love being outside learning.’
