Making Chocolate Rocks - Sept 2023
Year 3 have been using chocolate to represent the three types of rock. We used grated plain, white and milk chocolate in layers which we flattened with out hands to create sedimentary rocks then we used pressure and heat (hands again!) to change them into metamorphic rocks. Finally more chocolate was heated in boiling water to create a liquid which was left to harden. This represented igneous rock which is formed from cooled magma or lava.
