Looking at different environments - 25 June 2021
This term Foundation Stage are looking at different environments. The children have been thinking about a variety of habitats, starting with their own homes which they have drawn. They have thought about the differences in living in the town and living in the countryside and read the story "Town Mouse Country Mouse." They then had to write about which one they preferred and why. Much fun was had making their own finger mouse puppets to help them with the story. The children have also thought about the important topic of protecting our environment and suggested ways they can help to "save the world" from the destruction caused by rubbish such as plastic. They also designed some wonderful posters to encourage others to help with topics such as recycling, saving electricity and water and protecting endangered animals.
Before the end of their Foundation year we will also look at the differences between hot and cold countries and consider the effects of extreme temperatures. It is always fascinating to hear all of their ideas!
Hope you enjoy these pictures of what they have been up to!
