Weekly Maths Challenges
These are open-ended Maths Challenges designed to explore and investigate Maths in different ways. You are free to extend the tasks according to your child’s ability and interest. There is a challenge for each week of the term. If you would like a printed copy, please ask your child to ask and we will provide a copy. Please indicate on the homework the level of support given.

Speedy Maths
The aim of Speedy Maths is to complete each sheet in 60 seconds. Your child needs to say the answer aloud, not the number sentence itself and they do not need to record it on paper, as it is a mental challenge. You begin on Sheet 1 and when completed your child can go onto the next sheet and so on. Speedy Maths has the best results if it is carried out daily.
Speedy High Frequency Words
The aim of Speedy High Frequency Words is to say each word on the grid in 60 seconds. Your child needs to read the words, not record anything on paper as it is testing their reading. You begin on Sheet 1 and when completed your child can go onto the next sheet and so on. Speedy High Frequency Words work best if they are carried out daily.
