Who are the Friends

Clewer Green School is very lucky to have an active parents and teacher association (PTA), the Friends of Clewer Green. As a registered charity, each year a committee of volunteer parents, work tirelessly to run events to raise much needed funds for the school and to create a fun, social community for our children and their families.

Fundraising

Throughout the year there are a wide range of events that raise significant funds for the school; from sponsored events like the Windsor Half Marathon, lots of Christmas activities, bake sales run by parents of each year group, to full school involvement with the summer fair.

In 2022/23, the £15,962 raised by Friends :

  • English: New phonics books
  • Maths: Maths Scheme
  • Library: Library software & new library books
  • ICT Suite
  • Kapow - DT, Computing and Music Resources
  • Twinkl - Teaching Rescources

And this year we will continue to support the school funding these vital teaching resources.

Our Target

Can you help us raise £10,000 for our school this year? That's what we aiming for and it will need all your support in achieving, so how can you help?

How Can You Help and Get Involved

Every parent is welcome to get involved as they choose.

From attending our termly meetings (shared on our Facebook page and newsletters), which are very relaxed and always with prosecco, beer and nibbles(!!) or our social events- both great ways to meet other parents, have fun and support the school.

We are always looking for new volunteers, whether you have a great idea and would like to run an event or you wold like to help now and again, just let us know.Any time given is hugely appreciated as everything makes a difference. Whether it is baking a cake for a cake sale, giving an hour of your time to man a stall at an event, being part of the organising team for an event, or coming up with a new idea for ways we can raise money.

Please contact any of the Committee Members or your own Class Rep if you have any ideas or would like to get more involved in any of the Friends activities. You can also email the Committee at friendsclewergreen@gmail.com.

Message from Mr Tinsley

Pleased find attached a document from The Friends of Clewer Green, detailing all of the events that they have put on this year and the amount of money raised by them for the school. It is a truly remarkable amount given the times we are in!

I cannot thank the committee enough for the work they have put in to making the events so successful. I know how much hard work goes in to the organisation of every event and the fact that you do this while carrying out your own jobs and running your own households, is very much appreciated.

My sincerest thanks to everyone who has made this year such a successful one for The Friends of Clewer Green, and I wish you all a super summer break.
