Demonstrating Erosion - Oct 2023
As part of our rocks and soils Science topic, Year 3 have been learning about erosion.For our experiment, we got into groups then gathered together stones in a container, added water and shook the container many times. We found that some of the stones got smaller or broke down and the water contained sediment from the stones. We discussed how this represented what happens on Earth and how, over time, layered sediment makes sedimentary rocks as part of the Rock Cycle.
