Making Chocolate Rocks - September 2024
In Science, Year 3 have been studying rocks and soils. In order to demonstrate the 3 types of rocks, we used chocolate. We used milk, dark and white with lots of pressure to show the layers that form sedimentary rock. We used heat and pressure (our hands) to then turn them into metamorphic rock. The teachers also used chocolate to show the effects of extreme heat (boiling water) when igneous rock is formed and how it hardens later
