Welcome to Clewer Green CE First School.

Clewer Green is a nurturing, kind school with a wonderful heritage. It has been part of a supportive, caring community since 1806 and we look forward to welcoming you into our special Clewer Green family.

Clewer Green is a very happy school, and it is a place where there are strong, nurturing relationships between the children and all staff. The children feel safe and ‘held’ and so are secure in their learning; this enables them to have the self esteem and courage to embrace all the learning opportunities and exciting activities both in and outside the classroom.

We have strong links with St. Andrew’s church, and we welcome families of all faiths, as well as none. Our Christian values, and our strong ethos of respect and understanding, underpin all that we do here at Clewer Green.

We are very proud of our academic achievements which are attained through excellent teaching and a thorough understanding of the curriculum and how children learn well. Lessons are ambitious, rigorous and carefully planned to ensure that all can achieve their full potential as well as inspiring and exciting children’s imaginations.

We aim for all our children to leave us at the end of Year 4 as happy, positive, confident individuals who are proud of what they have achieved and are ready for the next step in their education. They have the academic knowledge to move forward with their learning, but also the social skills, self-belief and the understanding to be kind to others and treat each other with empathy.
