Meet the Governors

Mrs Karon Branch

Associate Member

After having completed a BSc Honours degree in Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London, I went on to complete a PGCE at Brunel University. In my 20 years as a Primary School teacher, I have taught children of all ages, mainly in the Windsor area, although I spent two years teaching in an International School in Hong Kong. As a very keen traveller, I have visited many countries in South America, Asia and Northern Africa and before starting university, I spent a year with my family on a Teacher Exchange visit to Australia. I am also a keen rugby supporter and I spend many weekends in Twickenham supporting Harlequins. I joined Clewer Green in 2000, and I thoroughly enjoy my role as a classroom teacher, Governor and Deputy Head.

Mr John Farmery

Foundation – Diocesan

Health & Safety Governor

I have been a Governor at the school for the last ten years. My involvement started when my children were pupils at the School. I trained and qualified as an Architectural Technician and have spent over 40 years working in design, building and management. I am currently working as Buildings and Estate Fabric Manager for a large UK listed Plc. It is my experience in building and maintenance work that I bring to the Governing body and I am currently a member of the Finance and Premises Committee. My outside interested include Steam railways – full-size and model, music, cooking and thoroughbred cars.

Mr Martin Tinsley

Headteacher

When leaving school in Bournemouth I had no idea where my future lay and as a result was forcibly encouraged to get a job by my parents. As a result, I started working for a Health Insurance Provider as an underwriter which was interesting but not overly fulfilling! Many people, from family and friends to colleagues, had suggested that Teaching would probably be a really good career for me, prompting me to take 3 weeks holiday and spend them in our local church school. I absolutely loved it and badgered my way on to a BA Primary Ed course, with a specialism in RE at King Alfred's College in Winchester. The rest as they say is history, and I have found my way to Clewer Green via Marlow and Maidenhead. Sport has always played an important part in my life and I have played volleyball and rugby to a fairly high standard with cricket and golf on a more sociable level. My family have always been the very essence of who I am, and though I might moan about them sometimes, my wife and 3 girls are fantastic and take up a lot of my time.

Rev Rosie Webb

Governor Ex-Officio

Chair of Governors

I have been rector of Clewer Parish since 2013 and have previously been a LEA Governor at a Roman Catholic Primary School. Before becoming rector I was a school nurse working with the National Health in School Programme for 10 years and prior to my ordination I was a mental health adviser for a school. My passion is for the whole child's spiritual, physical and emotional wellbeing. My role on the Governing Board of Clewer Green is the pastoral and spiritual support for staff and pupils. I am also RE and Wellbeing Governor. When I do get some spare time I like to love to spend time walking the dog and being with my family.

Jane Cockman, Safeguarding Governor

PCC of Clewer St Andrew and All Saints Dedworth

Safeguarding Governor

I am a regular and active member of the congregation of St Andrews church, Clewer. I worked for 16 years as ICT Technician in several local first schools, and my four children have all been through the Windsor education system. Currently retired, I am studying for a History degree with the Open University. Hobbies include bell-ringing at St Andrews church, and playing violin in the Windsor Community Orchestra.

Mrs Sam Collinson-Jones

Staff Governor

Deputy Safeguarding Lead

I moved from Wales to Windsor 15 years ago, shortly after completing my B.Ed (hons) specialising in Mathematics and Science at the University of Wales, Bangor. I taught a range of year groups for brief periods in schools across Berkshire for 2 years before joining Clewer Green. At home, I spend much time painting; I often have multiple surfaces at home covered with my drying artwork and the accidental odd end of my hair a random colour of paint. I love a good road trip and often visit the seaside with my family and gorgeous dogs. I enjoy leading literacy, creating enriching learning experiences and working hard to ensure children enjoy their time at school. I am very happy working at Clewer Green and proud to be part of the fantastic team working here.

Mrs Lorna Coe

Governance Professional

I moved to Windsor from Scotland in 2006 and love it here. I previously worked in Financial Services and now enjoy working in schools as a clerk to governors which I have done for the past 7 years. My son went Clewer Green and loved every minute so we are fully immersed in the school community.

In my spare time I enjoy aerobics, baking and spending time with friends and family.

Mrs Georgia Russell

Parent Governor

I grew up within the surrounding area of Windsor and have lived in Windsor for the past 10 years. I have a son who attends Clewer Green and a daughter who will be joining next academic year. They are both very energetic and keep me and my husband busy, as a family we enjoy spending time outdoors doing various activities.  I am a pretty active person and have enjoyed a variety of team sports in the past.

My degree in Business and Hospitality Management, lead me to my first career as an assistant general manager of a conference center. Hospitality was not rewarding enough for me so I changed my career at the age of 27; I completed a GTP to become a teacher and a MA in Special Educational Needs and inclusion, as I wanted to specialise in SEN. Since becoming a teacher, I have continued my professional development within the field of leadership and SEN. I current role is Assistant Head at a Special School in Ealing where I manage the school’s satellite site.

Mr Olivier Vallee

Parent Governor

Originally from the south of France, my studies took me to Paris and Barcelona through to Sheffield. From there I stayed in the UK and have lived in the Windsor & Maidenhead area for over 25 years. I have 5 children (all boys!), one of them currently in Year 2 at Clewer Green. My family plays a very important role and our roots from Australia and France brings an amazing mix of culture in a UK household.

I hold a BA (Honours) in Business Studies and a Masters in Marketing and International Trade from Lincoln International Business School and started my career in marketing before falling into the Events & Experiential industry. For the past 10 years I have had the privilege to be at the helm of some of the world’s leading global creative agencies. My passion lies in people management and providing the leadership and guidance to enable my team to be the best version of themselves and to deliver exceptional work.  With over 100 employees, there is never a dull day!
