The only medicines that we are able to keep in school are inhalers and epi-pens. Both inhalers and epi-pens should be labelled clearly with your child’s name. Children should be able to administer inhalers themselves and all staff are trained in the use of epi-pens.

Should your child need medication during the day we ask that you come in to school to administer the medicine or arrange for another responsible adult to do so. If this is not possible we are able , under our new Medicine Policy, to administer prescribed medication. Conditions like hay fever can usually be treated by administering a dose of medicine in the morning before coming to school.

Under no circumstances should children bring in medicines by themselves or attempt to administer doses on their own.

Smoking is prohibited on the school site.
