Girls' Football Festival
Fri 06 Mar 2026Some of our Year 3 and 4 girls spent their Tuesday afternoon at a WLP football event at TWGS. The girls participated with some of the other First Schools hosted by the Year 9 Sports Leaders. It was a fun and exciting experience and everyone got fully involved. In the matches towards the end of the session there was such great team spirit, encouraged by the Year 9 coaches and all team members. Two of our girls have been talent spotted and have been invited to attend training with the Slough Schools’ Football Association (SSFA) Girls Development and District Teams.

World Book Day
Fri 06 Mar 2026The children looked amazing today in their World Book Day costumes. Thank you for making such an effort with the costumes; the teachers found it hard to pick winners from each class. Thank you to Mrs Jones for choosing another wonderful book for us all to share. Every class read ‘Dragon Dave the Not So Brave’ by Alex Latimer, a story about being brave enough to change your own story

Attendance Champions
Fri 27 Feb 2026Congratulations to Angles, Saxons and Normans this week who achieved 100% attendance and were awarded the Attendance Champions Cup in Celebration Assembly today.

Sport Stacking
Fri 27 Feb 2026Year 2 participated in a ‘Sports Stacking’ event at Windsor Girls’ School attended by other schools in the partnership. Great fun was had by all. Windsor girls led different stacking activities, and pupils had a great time!

Hever House
Fri 27 Feb 2026At the end of last term, Hever House had accumulated the most house points over the term, again! The Harcourt Trophy was awarded to the Hever House Captains, Millie and Zach, on behalf of their whole team.

Stuart Class Assembly
Thu 12 Feb 2026Stuart class assembly showcased everything they had learnt in their history topic from Stone Age to Iron Age. We had great fun learning the songs and retelling the story of Skara Brae, a Neolithic settlement located in the Orkney Islands, as well as sharing the differences between modern day and long ago.

RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch
Thu 12 Feb 2026Year 3 took part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch this week on the school field. We saw plenty of birds from parakeets and red kites to seagulls and crows. We were guided by Mrs McClafferty from BBOWT who brought binoculars to help the children as well as bird recognition sheets. The children were very observant and great at spotting all the wildlife Clewer Green has to offer.

Diversity Day
Thu 12 Feb 2026In EYFS we celebrated 'Diversity Day' this week. The children have been exploring different cultures and traditions from around the world celebrating how wonderfully diverse we are! Everybody looked fantastic in the clothes that they felt represented them as a unique individual within our community. It was a lovely celebration that allowed the children to demonstrate our school values of respect and kindness learning about everybody in our class. Well done to all of our EYFS children!

Year 3 parent visit
Fri 06 Feb 2026Stuart class had the pleasure of a visit from Eris’ mum to talk all things board games, helping us think about the design process and specifically instruction writing. This was very interesting and will help the children when designing their own board games in English, as part of our instruction writing topic.

Georgian Class assembly
Fri 06 Feb 2026Georgian Class shared all that they had learnt about Buddhism for their assembly this week. The children spoke about how Buddhism teaches people to live peaceful, kind, and thoughtful lives, and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.
