Winton House visit
Fri 25 Sep 2026This week, our first group of Year 4 children visited Winton House Care Home. Reverend Rosie led a service and the children shared signs of the changing seasons with the residents. The children had a lovely time and Miss Milner, who accompanied the children, enjoyed how the different generations participated in activities together. The visits are a great opportunity for our children to reflect on those that live around their local area and be a part of the wider community. Residents benefit from the friendship, conversation and energy of the children, while the children develop their communication skills, confidence, empathy and understanding of older generations.

Wild Worship
Fri 18 Sep 2026This afternoon we started our Wild Worship sessions. Our weekly visit from Reverend Rosie supports the children's learning and understanding the world, as well as giving them time to have space to connect with nature. Other clergy members from across the Oxford Dioceses have visited our provision and have taken ideas back to their own parishes.

Owl Visit
Fri 11 Sep 2026Yesterday we all enjoyed a fantastic day of learning when Berkshire Birds of Prey visited us to help celebrate the relaunch of our refreshed Religious Education curriculum. The children had the chance to get up close to a range of amazing birds, asking lots of questions and showing real curiosity and enthusiasm. The visit linked perfectly with our updated Jigsaw RE scheme, which encourages children to ask big questions, learn about different faiths and beliefs, and develop respect and understanding. Children wrote their questions for the wise owl in a special notebook, helping to keep their curiosity and love of learning going every day. Thank you to Mrs Hawkes for organising the visit
