Queen's Court
Fri 24 Oct 2025This week we had our first visit to Queen’s Court Care Home. The children, Reverend Rosie and the residents enjoyed some craft activities together and some of the children took along games and toys to share with the residents. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we are looking forward to returning next term. Experiences like this help children develop empathy, confidence, and respect for others, while residents benefit from the joy and energy the children bring. It was a wonderful reminder of the importance of community and the positive impact kindness can have on everyone involved.

School Council
Fri 10 Oct 2025Last year's school council did an amazing job at the end of last term by raising £1200 through their sponsored hurdles event. They put this towards the willow dragon and recently came out to install the first of the new items. They all helped by carrying over the pieces of the new flooring which we clipped together to make it more usable when the ground is wet. They also added some of the new furniture. We are awaiting the arrival now of some lovely seating, mats and cushions.

Harvest Festival
Fri 10 Oct 2025Yesterday, all the children in Years 1 - 4, walked down to church to celebrate Harvest. The children sang songs and said the prayers which they had written themselves. We spent time reflecting on the importance of remembering where our food comes from, remembering to say thank you to those who provide our food and having faith that God will provide for our needs.
Our focus was the bible verse John 6 verse 35: Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
We would like to thank you for all the donations which we will pass on to the local FoodShare. Thank you too, to all the parents who helped walk the children down to church; it is very much appreciated.

Wild Worship
Wed 08 Oct 2025Reverend Rosie has been into school every week this term to lead our Wild Worship sessions. Last week Saxon Class had a wonderful time at their first Wild Worship – they explored the creation story and used the natural world to make beautiful pictures inspired by what they had learned. The children really enjoyed connecting their learning with nature.
