Worship Leaders
Wed 22 Jul 2026In our final assembly this morning, our Worship Leaders were presented with a gift from Reverend Rosie. The children have done a wonderful job this year of delivering a weekly assembly, supported and guided brilliantly by Mrs Hawkes. Thank you to the Worship Leaders, Mrs Hawkes and Reverend Rosie for leading our school through such reflective acts of worship.

Reverend Louise Brown Award
Wed 22 Jul 2026On Monday evening we held our Leavers’ Service at St. Andrew’s Church for our Year 4 children and their families. It is always a lovely occasion led by Reverend Rosie. Congratulations to Beth for being awarded with the Reverend Louise Brown Award. Bess leads through kindness rather than words, setting a wonderful example to everyone in the class. She is a caring, conscientious, and thoroughly lovely young person whose kindness, quiet confidence, and generosity of spirit make our classroom a happier place.

Hever House
Wed 22 Jul 2026House Captains Millie and Zac were awarded the Harcourt Trophy for the final time this year as Hever House had accumulated the most house points over the whole academic year. Well done Hever!

Year 4 Pilgrimage
Fri 17 Jul 2026Year 4 travelled on their holy journey around Clewer this week. Our Leavers' Pilgrimage, led by Reverend Rosie, offers our children a lovely opportunity to learn about the local area and to reflect on the time they have spent at our school. The helpful allotmenteers showed us around the Clewer Fuel Allotments, sharing its history and the charitable work that the members to look after people in need in our community. We also spent time continuing to think about creation, growth, and where our homes are as we continued on to the Pirate Park and Reverend Rosie's house. Our final stop will be on Monday at 6pm as we end our journey at St Andrew's Church for our Leavers' Service which is always a very special time for both pupils and the staff who have taught them.

Wilder Schools Initiative
Tue 14 Jul 2026Year 3 showed the school what we have been doing this year to make our school ‘wilder’. This is important to improve biodiversity, whilst helping children develop a lasting connection with nature and in turn ensure nature is valued and protected into the future. We took part in the RSB birdwatch, did lots of planting, made habitats to encourage creatures into the school grounds, put aside a no mow area, and finally visited Woolley Furs as part of our science learning. The children shared all their achievements with the rest of the school in a special assembly, as well as thanking parent volunteers without whom this would not be possible. We have had a great year learning about bringing nature into our school.

Sports Day
Fri 03 Jul 2026The weather was finally kind to us, and we were able to hold our annual Sports Day. The children took part in a range of activities around the field, accumulating points for their House. Congratulations to Leeds House who had achieved the greatest number of points. The running races, are as always such a joy to watch, and it is lovely to see such sportmanship bewtween the children as they cheer each other on.

Year 4 Bake Off
Fri 03 Jul 2026Our Bake Off final cakes this year were exceptional, which made it very hard to judge. All four children had clearly thought carefully about their recipes, and the winning cake was a tropical island, with sand and palm trees, which tasted beautifully of pineapple. Congratulations to Sebastian for being our Star Baker this year!

Teddy Bears' Picnic
Fri 03 Jul 2026Last Saturday we welcomed all our new EYFS children to the annual Teddy Bears’ picnic. We have run this event for a few years and it is a lovely way to welcome our new families into the Clewer Green community. Thank you to everyone who helped to make the event so lovely, especially our Year 3 children who kindly put their uniform back on on a Saturday to hand out our bespoke Clewer teddy bears.
