Early Years
Fri 31 Jan 2025Mr Armstrong from Early Excellence completed his final visit to EYFS on Tuesday. He spent time with the children and the staff, and his feedback was extremely positive. He was very impressed by the strong relationships that the staff had built with the children and how their nurturing and kind manner had enabled the children to flourish. He was particularly impressed by the children’s writing. A huge thank you to everyone in Romans and Celts and thank you to the parents too who whose support is greatly appreciated.

Music Assembly
Fri 31 Jan 2025Thank you to the two children who shared their love of music with Mrs Laver in Music Assembly this week. Both children were proud of their piano and harmonica playing.

Librarians
Fri 31 Jan 2025Our Librarians continue to do their weekly storytelling across the school. The children enjoy listening to a story chosen, and read to them, by the Year 4 children.

Music Assembly
Fri 24 Jan 2025In our weekly Singing Assembly, children are invited to bring in instruments from home so that we can talk about how they are played and demonstrate what they sound like. Last week, we focused on the violin. This week, Imogen brought in her tambourine and demonstrated the different ways of playing. Please check with either your class teacher or Mrs Laver before you bring your instrument in so that we can plan our sessions.

Norman Class party
Fri 17 Jan 2025Norman Class had their tea party this afternoon which was one of the prizes from the Golden Tickets organised by The Friends. Thank you to Mrs Pal for organising the food.

Badminton Festival
Fri 17 Jan 2025On Thursday afternoon, some children from Year 3 took part in a badminton festival run by Windsor Schools Sports Partnership at Windsor Leisure Centre. They enjoyed playing a variety of badminton-based activities, using the opportunity to practise some of the skills they learnt in their PE lessons during the first term.

School Council
Fri 17 Jan 2025School Council met again on Thursday and decided what they would like to do this year. They felt that the willow dragon needs a revamp and worked together to make a mind map to plan what they would like to do. They are now going to talk to all their friends in their classes to decide on a sponsored activity that they can organise to raise the money.

PERSEVERANCE
Fri 10 Jan 2025This week, Mrs Hawkes introduced the term’s school assembly value of perseverance. The children spoke about encouraging each other and the commitment needed to complete a task.

Harcourt Trophy winners!
Fri 10 Jan 2025At the end of last term, Hever House had accumulated the most house points over the term. The Harcourt Trophy was awarded to the Hever House Captains, Isabella and Laurence, on behalf of their whole team.
